Basket weaving with Ursula Parker Jones
We’ll use tule reeds, juncus, and willows to make twined baskets, as taught by world-famous Miwuk/Pomo weaver, Ursula Parker Jones.
$125 per person, a portion of the proceeds goes to help the History Center. Class limited to 15 students.

Natural Plant Dye Workshop
Discover a world of hidden colors inside the plants all around us! We'll use locally-gathered roots, leaves, nuts, and flowers to tint wool yarn a variety of beautiful natural shades including sunny yellow, rosy pink, salmon orange, and warm brown. There will also be lots of info about the dye process, mordants, and how to start your own dye journal.
Ages 8 and up recommended, no experience necessary. $10 suggested donation for supplies but no one will be turned away.
