Learn how to make a traditional-style brush using the fibers and pulp of the native California soaproot plant (Chlorogalum pomeridianum). These have been made and used for centuries by the Indigenous peoples of central California for a variety of tasks, from sweeping up acorn flour to hairbrushes. Come make your very own — all materials are included to make one brush. Teachers for this class are Indigenous.
